Need Help Deciding between 2 models of Projection CRT

Nov 20, 2005 12:00AM PST

I've narrowed down my choices of a new HDTV to 2 models, the Sony KDP-57WS655 and the Toshiba 57H94. I like the way the Sony looks in the store but i always hear bad things about sony's down the road, and I've looked everywhere and can't find whether the Toshiba supports 720p natively. 720p is a huge priority for me since it will be used primarily for ESPNHD and hooking up the new XBOX 360 to whichever one I get. Thanks in advance for any help

Same set but bigger screen, I have owned mine for two years and its a great t.v. You should also pick one up DIRT CHEAP, There is a home theater here in San Jose that has the 65" and 57" Sony and are selling the 57" set for a $1000.00 In closing the new d.l.p and l.c.d set do have a sharper, brighter picture but cost a lot more

Is the way most CRT-RP list the formats they support.
It means anything from 480p to 1080i. John

This is stewart norries new reply I forgot to tell you but on this sony rp t.v. you must use the d.v.i. port on the t.v. for your d.v.d. player and hi-def sat or cable box. You will get a nasty picture if you use componit vidio cables I bought a giffin d.v.i. switcher and now my d.v.d. picture and hi-def sat look stunning, you may email me if you wish for more info in this set or the 65" big brother I have owned for two years I also know a vidio store that is selling the 57" for a $100.00 and the 65" for @1200.00 This is a cheap price the l.c.d and d.l.p are a tad briter and sharper but these 10 ton tube rear project Sonys will run forever stewart norrie cadillacstew@aol.com
