I just got a Panasonic GS85 for my birthday 2 weeks ago, I did hours of research and found the reviews at circuitcity.com to be very helpful and pushed me to this one. There is no touchscreen controls just a dial and small joystick you control with your thumb. I like the optical zoom at 32x (digital zoom is a waste, I turn mine off) also the Optical image stabilization, as opposed to the digital. Is supposed to be better. The only thing is this camcorder does NOT have the 3ccd's for picture, however I couldn't find a New Panasonic that has over 12X zoom with a 3ccd, they also cost more.
Hope this was helpful!
I've been shopping around for a while now trying to figure out which cheap video camera is best. This one seems awesome for its price (just $282), but cnet hasn't reviewed it. I can only find a few customer reviews online and they all love it. What do you think? Is this the best for the price.
Also, are all of the controls on the touch screen? Where is the zoom located?
Thanks in advance for any help!
