Need help choosing a camcorder

by BigDoug13 / April 20, 2007 4:36 PM PDT

I am shopping for a new camera and am having trouble getting current information about analog to digital converters. I bought my wife a Mac and would like to do my editing there so my understanding is that mini=dv is my only way to go. I am also looking to convert VHS and mini VHS tapes to digital. I will be taping a mixture of indoor and outdoor and would like to spend less than $600. The apple store sells Canon and carries the new zr800 models, however they don't have the converter. I have googled for about a week now and have found that there is a lot of old information out there on older cameras, apparently this was a hot topic in 2001! So here I am, should I buy a Canon zr700, panasonic pv-gs320, or a Sony model. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

but would you be willing to get something like one of the analog/digital bridges from Canopus to do the VHS transfer?

I would prefer to have the converter in camera so I only have to buy 1 thing. I'm not in love with any 1 camera just need something with decent performance indoors and out with an internal converter. I would be willing to go with an external converter as a last resort.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
