Need help building first gaming desktop

Hello everyone, I have never built a desktop before and would like some tips/hints about my expected specs and whether they are all compatible.

I am not sure about the case, I was thinking about lanboy air, what do you guys think of it?

More specifically:

One wonders why you would think that the iPhone, iPod and iPad forum would be the place to ask about a DIY project.
