Maybe ok as a learning tool but certainly not trying to save money. That's just my thought on this. Have fun!
My son and I are taking apart a broken Altec Lansing speaker set (VS4121) to make a DIY bluetooth boombox. The speaker set does not produce any sound but I am pretty confident the speakers are just fine. It has a Subwoofer: 19 Watts @ 4 ohms @ 10% THD @ 20 – 150 Hz Single Channel Loaded. It also has two front speakers: 6 Watts/channel @ 4 ohms @ 10% THD @ 150 - 20000 Hz 2 Channels Loaded. I noticed that each front speaker has two little speakers behind the cover. Well, can someone help me find the proper amp for it? Someone recommended a 15W Tripath amplifier but I feel that it will not suffice. Please help!
