need help badly,i'm infected and can't get up

by mstrbass2000 / August 23, 2006 7:49 AM PDT

my son recently got onto myspace and i suspect that he caught the virus/worm from there (not sure but pretty sure)

computer is e-machines 2200+ with x/p 1 gig of mem and 100 gig h/d

problem started 2 days ago

kept getting error and countdown followed the computer starting over and over

finally got it to safemode ran a mcafee scan

ran fine for a day until my son went back onto myspace again last night ,then boom same error and starting over and over again

got onto a screen which asked if i wanted to start in safemode ,i did but it would freeze and start over again ,finally got it to work (in safe mode) went to start virus scan ,after scanning for about 10 minutes
i got a screen that said windows was shutting down in order to protect my computer from damage ,underneathe it gave me this

stop:0x0000008e (0xc000001d,0xf6d5c114,0xf6d5c08c,0x00000000)
begin dump of physical memory
physical memory dump complete

i went to mcafee figuiring it was iiircbot or a variant
the site said to use stinger which i downloaded to a disk

restarted infected desktop ,went into safemode and installed stinger with sys restore off ,scanning began only to shut down 5 min later ???

getting stop:0x0000008e (0xc0000005,0xf73c374d,0xf1c55b84,0x00000000)

ntfs.sys-address f73c374d base at f73a3000,datestamp 41107eea

dump physical memory

after each restart i must wait a while before restarting or else it just restarts over and over again

i have managed to update virus scan today and get the microsoft patch for mso6-040 and 56

which managed to let me start up windows desktop normally

now it seem like i'm on a timer where the computer shuts down in 10 minutes ,which doesn't allow me to finish a mcafee scan in full

Same Memory Dump Message
by mirra_250 / August 24, 2006 7:53 PM PDT

Hi,

I;m currently getting the same memory dump with a blue screen! Although, this only happens to me when I close any random program. E.g I watch a movie in Windows Media Player, once its finished, I close it, then that screen comes up and I have to re-boot. It's really annoying! It gives me the message of something to do with my memory being corrupt? I need help with this as well, but obviously not as urgent as yours.
