need help am confused

i got these messages during boot-up

"mknod: failed to create /dev/console"
"mknod: failed to create /dev/null"
"mknod: failed to create /dev/zero"

i am worried what do these mean

hp vectra vl running fedora core 4
pentium 2 w/ mmx

i also have a belkin 2pc kvm switch

it supports linux

maybe the problem is solved
i switched to the linux pc
before i booted up again
i disabled quick boot

and yay so far so good

i don't quite know how but the problem hasn't reared its ugly head for a while now
