I see power could be ganged up but can't guess if you expected to avoid needing 4 SATA data ports for 4 SATA drives.
The usual number for HDDs is 20 Watts each. That about 80 Watts on top of what your current PSU is delivering.

I have a 4U server chassis that's currently running 4 HDDs and a 500W PSU with 4 SATA connectors. I want to add some HDDs I have and came across these Silverstone CP06 adapters that convert one SATA cable into 4 so I can power 8 HDDs in the case. Does anyone have any experience doing anything similar? Is there another way I can power all of these drives without replacing the power supply? Thanks in advance ![]()
