Take the motherboard onto some cardboard and add only what's needed to turn on. And maybe a speaker to hear BEEPS.
I only need the PSU, CPU+HSF and a SPEAKER for the beeps test. No beeps and I'm looking at the 3 possible bad parts.
WHY CARDBOARD? Because we can't see if some mounting stud shorted out that board.

I bought a "broken" HP Pavilion a6437c off of someone who said that another technician said the motherboard crashed. I figured since it came on that it wasn't the motherboard. So i tampered around with it and when I removed the AUX power connecter the fans blew harder, that led me to think the processor was bad, so I tried a new processor, same result. So i thought maybe it was the motherboard and the north chip set was damaged of some sort. So I purchase a new motherboard, this time I tried the old processor in it first, then the other one, and got the same results I did before. Then I tried a whole other one and STILL got the same results. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious. Someone please point it out! Thank you!
