NEED HELP!

Nov 30, 2009 2:48PM PST

Hey all. I'm hoping you guys can help me find a laptop with the following specs:

-4+gb of ram
-blu-ray drive
-nvidia gpu (at least the gts 250m)
-a full 1080 HD screen
-at least 320gb hard drive
-core i7 processor (at least the 720QM)

The two i've found closest to what i'm looking for (and trying to stay in that price range) are:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115679
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114706

anyone have reviews of either of these two? (or which is better?) or know of any other similar laptops? thanks for the help!

I would go for the Acer.

I was waiting for Acer to release the 8935 in the USA which was supposed to happen in July and never did so I got a HP. Then when Windows 7 came out they came out with the 8940. The biggest difference is the Toshiba has a smaller but faster HD. The Acer has a larger hard drive but is slower for $100 less. I have an Acer with a big screen 20.1 " so i would favor it over the Toshiba. You can probably add a 7200 RPM drive to the Acer if you want. They probably have 1 drive with 2 partitians of 250 gig each. I'm just guessing that they have ann open slot to add a drive.

buckeye - thanks for the reply. i do think the acer has room for an extra hard drive should i want to add one (i think i'd like to add an ssd at some point). what about the graphics in the acer? i read somewhere that the acer has NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M with up to 2815MB of TurboCache (1024MB of Dedicated DDR3 VRAM, up to 1791MB of shared system memory) while the toshiba has NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M with 1GB GDDR5 Discrete graphics memory. any noticable difference there? or any possibility of upgrading the acer?

also, if you happen to know of any other laptops in this similar config, please let me know! thanks!
