need hardware testing utility

by Disneyfan / January 23, 2006 10:49 PM PST

I am doing some volunteer work for our local high school. They have a lot of old systems that they need checked out to determine if they can be used. I'm talking very old systems running Windows 98. Is there a utility that I can use that will run through the hardware to check for problems and is free? Looking for recommendations from the forum. Thanks.

Aren't you the same poster that asked about GHOST ? I did some further research and came up with another source for legit copies of GHOST but never heard back from you...unless you responded under another user name.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
