I think it's proper to drop ping requests in favor of real traffic. This can sorely confuse or even upset folks that want ping to always work. Ping is secondary or lower traffic. If you want to maximize your traffic you toss away pings when the stack is full of real traffic.
Hi members,
the image below shows the Ping results to www.google.com & www.youtube.com.

My ISP says, that they have provided a 30MBPS bandwidth to these 2 websites. The other websites or portals, like rediff.com, facebook.com, etc also show similar pings. I submitted the Google & Youtube pings as they are om 30MBPS bandwidth, rest all are throttled according to the packages taken by the members.
This normally happens throughout the day, but is more relevant during the peak usage hours like in the morning to afternoon and during late evening to late night.
The ISP also says that the ping report is of no consequence as it will not hinder or slow down the surfing or browsing of the website.
My question to the members are...
Is it possible to surf normally on websites which are non static in nature, like facebook and such?
What can be the possible problem for such bad pings?
