Need full download SP2 for Win XP home to save on HD

Jun 12, 2005 2:44AM PDT

I will be installing a new HD with fresh install of Win XP home with sp1 on disk.

I want to download SP 2 and have it saved on older HD ready to install when I get new HD up and running.

Tried MS download page and can not find the SP2 file to download. I think it recogonizes that I have SP2 installed.

Is there a site I can download SP2 and save it to my HD?

Thanks

Ben

Type in some words like "service pack 2" and "full", and you should be presented with a few sites where you can download it. It should be on the order of 260MB. If you're on dialup, I think Microsoft is still sending out free SP2 CDs.

Thanks to all.

I had tried Google, but when I followed the thread, I ended up with all kinds of SP2, but not for for win xp home.

Thanks again,

Ben
