General discussion

need for speed carbon

Jan 7, 2007 12:37PM PST

I installed the game, I can start it, it plays fine...until I get to the territory controlled by the 21st Street Crew. That's where the races start quitting as soon as I complete them about 89%-95%. Why? Somebody told me it has something to do with my virus protection. I turned that off. In fact I turned off every other program I had running and even disabled my internet connection. It still doesn't help. What can I do? I know I got the right hardware to play the game because I've played all the other Need for Speed games on it and my computer way exceeds the requirements:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Diamond ATI x1300 video card
2 GB RAM

From what I've seen 2 areas.

1. Power supply ratings.

2. The drivers. Motherboard, video, audio, etcs.
Most don't know how to install or update such.

it is not a hardware problem or a driver problem. It's something to do with my system.

XBox 360

I Agree with Tim, I am sorry that your computer is not running NFS Carbon. Please do consider picking up an XBOX 360. You just pop the game, the game starts and then you play.

They just want to get it up an running on their machine.

As with all games , make sure you have the latest patch for this game before you try anything else. If all else fails, you should try contacting EA Customer Support for more options.

Also, on a side note, Avast Antivirus has been known to mess around with many of EA's titles. It simply reports too many false alarms interfering with gameplay.

Hey, you said Avast Antivirus is known to interfere with EA Games. How about Antivir Antivirus? That's what I have.
