Perhaps http://www.winamp.com/ ?
I'm looking for an MP3 player that runs on Windows XP. Since I am considering buying a Mac, it would be great if I could find software that ran on a Mac. I need it to atleast be able to organize my tracks by artist and then album hierarchically in a library. For example, I could look at my ''Beethoven'', ''Beatles'', and ''Bob Marley'' on the artist level, and then open up the Beatles folder to access the Beatles albums. From here I would be able to either play a Beatles album, or pick individual songs to play. Windows Media Player has such a setup.
It would be fantastic if I could create sub- or super- levels (such as genres) that I could place inside any of the other levels, or place any of the other levels in. For example, I could create a genre level directly on top of the library. I would then place an Artists level beneath the genre level, and an Album level beneath the Artist level. To this effect, I could open up my Library, see ''Popular'' and ''Classical'', and then open up the ''Popular'' folder if I please. I then could see ''Bob Marley'' and ''Beatles'', choose ''Beatles'', and see all the ''Beatles'' albums, which I could then play or open up.
Plese respond with information and/or websites regarding my interest.
