Need ethernet to connect to wireless??

Oct 10, 2009 12:29AM PDT

When i start my mac (Leopard 10.5.Cool up in the morning i always have to plug in the ethernet cable for the wireless setting to take hold. Then i can unplug the ethernet and will have wireless... until i close my laptop down in hibernation. Sometimes even the ethernet connection will fade away and come back. This is not always the case because sometimes i will have wireless on the spot. It's just not very consistent. I'm not sure why this would happen but it started to happen randomly one day after the internet just went away. So i went to go buy a new router, because the new was old anyway. It made the wireless faster but it did not make the wireless consistent on start ups. I know it's a problem with my computer because this does not happen on any of the other 2 computers in the house. Thanks
