Need camera with good video AND good sound

Jun 3, 2005 8:01AM PDT

Hi,
I have a budget of around $300 and am looking to get a digital camera with decent video specs (ideally 640x480 with 30 fps) and also records good quality sound at the same time. My head's spinning a bit from looking at camera after camera on here so am pretty confused as they're all merging into one(!). If anyone can recommend some I'd appreciate it. I may also be able to go a little above the $300 budget if I had to.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If you are looking for a ultra thin camera, look at the Canon SD200.
You can get the SD300 for just under $300 if you shop around.

The best video that I have seen came from the Canon S1-IS.
This is a larger camera with 10X zoom.
Shop around and you can find this camera for just under $300.

The Canon S1-IS is looking good to me and seen some excellent reviews, although one did say it gets quite noisy above IS200, but other reviewers don't seem to have had that problem. Thanks a lot for hte advice.
