Need calibration settings for samsung un60c6300

Jul 10, 2010 1:58AM PDT

I recently bought a samsung plasma 2010 pn58c550 and had to return it due to loud buzzing and horizontal lines on bottom of screen. So then i bought a samsung 2010 LED un60c6300,and what a difference. There is NO LOUD BUZZING,and the picture is as good as the plasma. All i need now is a good calibration setting so i don't have to pay the 300 dollar fee for the calibration.

un60c6300 edge "flashlighting " problems
Jul 12, 2010 4:39AM PDT

I've spent hours searching for calibrations settings for this tv with no luck so far.But recently ,now i have a severe case of "flashlighting" in all four corners of the screen. All input signals have been checked and every source or input signal does not change the effect. It is definitely the tv.Samsung told me that it should go away in a couple weeks,so hopefully that is the case.If not i'll have to return this one just like i had to return the plasma 58c550.The tv is awesome but why spend almost 3000 dollars for another defective tv.Can anyone recommend a great 60" or 58" led tv.

flashlighting
Jul 12, 2010 5:29AM PDT

I've got the 46c6300 and also have flashlighting in all four corners. I only notice it watching in the dark so its not a big deal for me. Just wanted to say that it hasn't gone away and I've had my tv for about 9 weeks now.

I read on the avs forum that some people have managed to reduce the flashlighting effect by loosening the panel screws around the corners. I haven't tried it myself.

un60c6300 concern

Thanks for the info, nine weeks is a long time and unfortunately the flashlighting effect is so bad (approx:6 to 8 inches on all four corners),also the perimeter is now started to show some "BLEEDING".I'm going to replace it with the same model and i hope this problem does not arise again.

Basically, the corners of the tv appear lighter then the rest of the tv when displaying dark or black scenes. The LED's on the corners of the tv bleed through. I looks kinda like a flashlight shining from the corner.

Its easier to spot when watching letterbox movies in the dark.
