The suggestion of the Kodak Dx-7590 does not appear to me to be a good choice. The specifications for close focus is 60cm (2 feet) and macro closest focus of 12cm (2.5 inches).
Your Pentax S5i has better specifications than that.
Here is a link to a comparison of specifications for four camras:

Look down the list of specifications until you get to:
Normal Focus Range
Macro Focus Range
You can click the yellow question mark (?) beside those titles to get an explaination.
I added the Nikon 7900 because it has better specifications than your Pentax S5i.

You can probably find a camera store that will let you try the Nikon 7900, to see if fits your other needs too.

Hi
I sell womans clothing & accesories in online auctions.
I currently use a Pentax Optio S5i which I LOVE the close-ups that I can get with it. It also takes GREAT pictures in natural outdoor light without the flash. But that leaves me with a problem when I can't take pictures outdoors for one reason or another.
Therefore I am looking for a camera that will take EXCELLENT indoor shots with ACCURATE colors - A MUST - since a slight color diffence is really a big difference to a buyer. If this can be done without a flash, that would be a major plus, since I have noticed with certain cameras, the flash has distorted the fabrics of my items to look shiny when they are actually not. Another requirement would be great close-ups, as I have now with my optio. Finally, good battery life, a clear image on screen, and a small size would be some pluses but not absolutely necessary.
If anyone could guide me in the right direction, I would be so grateful!!!!!!
(I am looking to spend in the $400-$500 range give or take. Two recommendations were the Sony DSC-T9 or Kodak DX-7590 - any ideas on those?)
