Question

Need advice on when/if to buy ipad2

Sep 19, 2012 11:10AM PDT

I would like to upgrade to an iPad 2 since Apple is no longer supporting iPad 1. I've heard 2 is still the best one out there. I'm wondering two things. 1. When would be the best/cheapest time to get one when the iPad mini comes out. 2. Is it wise to even get one or do you think it too will be obsolete due to not being able to upgrade iOS. I was planning on getting a used/refurb one on eBay.

Do you know something that others do not?

If you want one, get one now.

If you wait for prices to get even lower, you will be buying a device that may fall off the supported list.

My buddy's iPad 1 is still working great. You can get apps for it from iTunes and well, what do you mean it's not supported?

I think...

...the OP is referring to the fact that the original iPad doesn't have the option for an upgrade to the latest iOS 6.

So it's the Jellybean issue over on those other pads. Thanks for clarifying.

My buddy's iPad is still doing fine. Go figure.

I guess you're talking about the upgrade part of iPad 1 into iOS6 then its okay; otherwise its working flawlessly, even still we can download applications from Apple store.
Rest for iPad 2 I would say that its totally depend on your personal decision whether you want/need one or not.
