What if I may is your bandwidth up/down? Regardless wireless or hardwired Right now using 2 game machines that is 8 items. Also the pk5000 modem sounds more like a modem/router combo. I did a quick search and that is what you have, a modem/router combo. This is the link http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=60507 .

It also told me you use DSL. So it can only obtain a certain since it is phone wiring and not insulated cable. Also the speed is only 10/100. That is kinda becoming old school. Now the speeds are 10/100/1000. Look for this type of device for your system. Start with your ISP because as all ISP's they only use certain modems/router combo's. With a larger output of information via the 1000 rate you may be able to try to connect as many devices via wireless.

If you want those items hard wired then it must start from the modem itself.
It is not like wireless in any way or manner. The brand of modem is what your ISP uses on its network so you need to check there website or call them.

All you need is a small switch. You may need a cross cable all depends if the switch can autodetect this or if it has a uplink port. You most likely will want at least a 8 port switch to connect the number of devices you list.

Depends how much money you want to spend. you can get a number of 10/100/1000 switches for less than $50 or if you stay with 10/100 they are about $25. There is little difference in brands as long as you avoid the no name brand things you can get for $10.

If the initial device is a router, you can use a switch [or hub] after it, if it is not a router, then you will need a router first.
