need advice on possible return of hp dv1432us

by frankzxcv / January 24, 2006 7:52 PM PST

hello all,

I just bought an HP dv 1432 us laptop, I love it, BUT

about 4 times so far (and I haven't used it that much yet, my desktop is my main machine) when i turn it on it doesn't fully boot. it goes to the hp background pic, but there is no toolbar at the bottom. cntrl alt del sometimes gets me something, it shows no CPU activity . . . a little fussing with hibernate will get it to go but that's almost a restart. it doers always work on restart.

SO . . . is this a minor problem easily fix, standard procedure, or should i RETURN it to compusa where I bought it new years' eve? (what a pain as all software is installed!) 30 days is running out! thanks - fj

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
