Need advice on lens filters?

Jul 12, 2007 7:58AM PDT

After a lot of reading here among other places online I bought a Panasonic PV GS-320 mini Dv camcorder. Something that has come to my attention since then is articles describing the importance of filters for the lens. I know that expensive doesn't mean best & was wondering whether you folks could help me decide what filter to buy. The only thing I know is that it's a 37mm filter that is required.
Also slightly related can an additional lens be attached to the camera particularly for wide angle shoots..
Thanks in advance for any pointers...

PS the camcorderinfo.com review of the pv gs 320 was quite a turn off... Sad

I was wondering why no one is responding?

picky about the image... but if you were THAT picky about the image, you would most likely be spending a bit more. That said, I went to panasonic.com - to look into the GS320 - and clicked on the "Accessories" tab. No filters showed up. But on their higher-end cameras, filters and other lens attachments do show up on their accessory links - I don't know when I'll get to a store to check, but it is possible that the GS320 does not have threads to accept either a wide angle or filter accessories.
