Need advice on how to write on my cds

Mar 6, 2006 6:57AM PST

I saw a report on the news and read somewhere that you should only use a non solvent and non alcoholic marking pen to write information on my cds. It says that the ink will leak into the data on the cd and corrupt it. Is this true? How should i mark the info on my cds. Does this mean that my pictures and other stuff that I put on cd is corrupted? It also says that you shouldn't use cd labels.

You can get pens made specifically to mark CDs/DVDs.

Labels are a no-no. I don't know about ink jet labeling, but it should be better than labels.
