Question

Need advice on building a good Desktop.

Apr 24, 2012 10:43AM PDT

Currently I have a 3 year old HP HDX 18 gaming laptop that I regret ever getting, and I think that a desktop would be a good replacement.

Currently I have:

-T9900 Centrino 2.
-GT 130 Video Card.
-6 GB 1333 MHz Video RAM
-Vista Sad

I want my desktop to perform around 4 times as well and cost under $1000, or even $800 if possible. I am looking at:

-AMD FX-4170
-Radeon HD 6770 x2
-8 GB 1600 MHz Video RAM
-Windows 7 Professional

Will this out perform it how I want? Is it over kill? Can it run BF3 on Ultra with 900p and 30+ FPS?

THANKS!!!!
