Need Advice - 4-5 pixels, no redeye, AA batteries

Mar 22, 2005 10:54AM PST

I would like advice on buying a 1st digital camera. I was set on the Canon A95 but there are so many reports of red eye. Is there a model in the 4-5 pixel range where red eye is not a problem? AA batteries would be nice. $ 400 budget. Thanks.

Digital Cameras

I don't know of any small digital camera that is not subject to red-eye.
Unless it is one, on which you could mount an external flash unit.

Some new Nikon cameras will be in the stores in about a month and they have the ability to remove red-eye in the camera.

Another camera to check out is the Canon A520, which is the replacement for the Canon A85. It has a classy optonal outboard flash unit, which should cut down on the occurance of red-eye.
