Need a Sound Recorder Program For Windows 7 (Maybe Free)

Jun 9, 2010 1:00PM PDT

Can anyone help me. I purchased a sound recorder to record sounds and radio shows from the internet (All Legal) but the software will not work on Windows 7 and they do not have a patch yet.

Anyone suggest a program preferably free that I can use until my purchased software company makes a patch for Windows 7?

thanks

This issue for years has been solved with...

A cheap audio Y cable from the headphone jack to the audio in jack.

There might be a software solution but I solved this some hundred times over the years with a cable.

But I Want A Software Program That Will Catch Sounds
Jun 11, 2010 12:56AM PDT

But I Want A Software Program That Will Catch Sounds and music from certain internet sites and as I said all legal. I used to have one called Silent Bob. When I went to a site and they had a streaming show I would just click on Bob and it would record the show and I could listen to it later or on my mp3 player.

Which means.

You could research this and see what's out there. This is not a new area of discussion so I offered my solution since many lose months looking for a software solution.

Again, an area well discussed but without one single solution that solves it for all machines. This is why you try a few until you find the one.

I use Tunebite
Jun 29, 2010 7:52PM PDT

Yes, I'm using Tunebite Downloader and Converter, it can record record any sound from websites, I use it especially to rip and record music from Spotify service. It's not exactly a sound recorder program, because it can be used for other tasks too besides recording music from websites, it can record and download video clips and movies off the internet, but also it can save the files to any audio and video formats you'd like.
Unfortunately, it's not free but I think it's worth every penny because it has so many useful features and it's very helpful.
Of course it works on Windows 7, so it's pretty much cool. Check it here:

Hope this help. Happy
