I'd like to know how you'll avoid your network being.. "a LAN".
The easy setup would be to get a router. The next step up is a Linux box and you setting it up as a router with IP SHAPING. I offer no support of such, but note it does such.
Bob
I have 3 computers, they are NOT in a LAN, i just want to share Internet on these 3 computers, so i will use a router.
But i need to limitate those computers to use some % of the total bandwidth, for example: Computer "A": Will use 70% of the total bandwidth, Computer "B": Will use 15%, Computer "C": Will use 15%.
This is because i work at home, and my wife and kid has computers and they want internet connection, but my kid is allways downloading music/videos etc etc.. so he uses all the bandwidth and i need a good speed and connection to work. My 3 computers are Windows OS.
Any recommendations on a software?
Thanks
