Need a new Power Supply

Sep 13, 2006 2:14PM PDT

Compaq Presario Media Center SR1830NX
Athlon 64 (V) 3500+ 2.2ghz
1gb RAM
MOBO: ASUS A8AE-LE
HP/Compaq MOBO name: AmberineM-GL6E
PWR SUPP: 300w (Merlot C) regulate

currently using onboard graphics. Want to install a 3D Fuzion Geforce 7600GS card in order to play higher end games. This board requires at least a 350w pwr supp. I know that HP/Compaq PC's often use propietary pwr supplies (as well as mobo's; hence the renaming of the board).

Does anyone know what pwr supply I can buy that will fit in the Compaq case?

Thanks for your help

As long as the case isn't a SFF (small form factor)case, which yours isn't, most generic power supplies should fit.

I prefer Antec, but there are several good PS's to be had. You can find a wide variety of power supplies at newegg.com.
