Need a new PDA; need help making a choice.

by Cegasaturn / March 11, 2004 5:45 AM PST

I looking to buy a PDA since my old Palm VII broke. I am a student and have no idea what to get. I'd like a PDA that I can hotsync stuff I write straight to the computer and print. I don't know whether to get a palm OS or Pocket PC, but whatever I get, I want it to have games, and Wi-Fi, if possible. I would like a color screen, and a lot of memory, since I play MP3's a lot. Could you help me out?

Not sure why in the US Bluetooth is almost ignored and everyone seems to deserve Wi-Fi.
With Wi-Fi you depend on locations with HotSpots or an AccessPoint at home or in your office (Wi-Fi connection also always means security issues!).

With a Bluetooth enabled PDA and a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone (used as a modem) or just a Pocket PC Phone Edition device (both in 1 device) you can surf the web and download emails almost whereever you are.

To stick to your requirements:
a small Pocket PC (color screen of course) with 2 slots - compact flash and SD format - i.e. maximum flexibility - Bluetooth enabled device - is the HP iPAQ H2215. Unfortunately there is no comparable device (2 slots and small) with Wi-Fi.

But you can use the SanDisk Wi-Fi SD Card (very good!) and still have 1 slot (CF format) available for as much storage as you deserve and can afford (CF is good, fast, reliable and cheaper than other formats). You see: 2 slots often are very important! Most devices just have 1.

So what else can be better?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
