need a little help

getting my linksys befsr41 cable/dsl router to work with linux for some reason when i go to select DHCP it is grayed out
can somone give me a clue here?
i would really like to get online

It could help. Here I installed Open Suse 10.0 and the one question that made it "just go" without any work was during install to use DHCP.

If I hadn't done that I could have used it's control panels to fill in the numbers. Since your linux is unknown, you can try manually assigning the numbers.

See if anyone else has your setup of machine and network card working in Fedora Core 4. Not all cards work.

You can doublecheck that your hardware is working with Windows or a KNOPPIX CD.
