Need a good Editor & DVD burner software

by durran001 / June 21, 2009 1:36 AM PDT

I have a Pinnacle Studio Version 9 & its upgraded version Studio Ten and both or are running on XP home OS. I have both versions on the same machine because I like the functionality of the new software, but need the reliably of the old software.
Pinnacle is always coming out with a new version and upgrades for their software, I'm fine with this to a point, it's just that it seems the more version they have the more fixes they need for it.
In newer version I find problems, then they fix them in later upgrades, I'd would just like to hang with what works best for me, and stop buying new problems I?ll eventually have to pay for in the near future.
Could someone recommend some software that is relatively easy to operate and understand as a good editor & DVD burning system, but isn't as high end as adobe?

For "DVD burning"
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / June 21, 2009 1:47 AM PDT

I've always used IMGBURN, CDBURNERXP. Given the price, why would I use anything else?

As to video editors, if I have the money we look at Sony Vegas.

Just wondering, why do people want to smash all the functions of capture, edit, render and burn into to a big pile of hurt?

Video Studio

I'm pretty happy with Video Studio 11, although I don't use half of the features it has to offer. Always has been stable, reliable and very easy to use.
