NEED A FREE VIRUS SCAN

by seaboltluvsdew / June 30, 2004 9:27 PM PDT

Hey!! I am in need of a free virus scan untill I go to buy one. I recently had a trial version of Norton Anti-vrus scan and the trial period ran out. My computer is a Dell with Windows XP. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I use Avast it hasn't slowed down my system like Norton had, plus it is free. It has a feature they call Virus Recovery Database (VRDB) that is pretty cool. For more information and download go to www.avast.com I think you'll find it's a really good product.

Hey - one program that was recommended to me by one of my friends that i now use and find to be very nice(not to mention free!) is AVG. It can be found at http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl7.php
If you follow that link you can go to the free version edition. Enjoy!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
