Need a DSL filter for an old AT&T wall mounted phone.

by Big Steve / July 15, 2006 5:19 PM PDT

A few months ago my dial-up service with Bell South was upgraded to Bell South's DSL Lite service and I was required to install DSL filters on all of the phones in my home.

I have installed DSL filters on all of the phones in my home except for the one and only wall mounted phone located in the kitchen. That phone is an old AT&T touch tone model which you have to lift up and off the plate installed on the wall in the kitchen.

Right now that phone cannot be used due to the static on the line as a result of the DSL installation. Does any company or companies make a DSL filter for such wall mounted phones?

Will I have to change out the existing wall mounting plate now in use or not? Feedback would certainly be appreciated from anyone who might know.

Any Solution?

I was wondering if you found a solution. I have the same problem. An old AT&T phone but standard wall-mount filters are not compatible. The RJ11 jack does not protrude deep enough into the old phone to make contact with the plug.

It's a common product. What country are you in?

Nice try buddy. None of these have a jack that protrudes far enough to make connection with the phone.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
