They made cameras like that when the 1 megapixel cameras came on the market.
I've got an Epson PhotoPC 700 that is big (5.5"L x 2.75"H x 2"Thick), simple controls and 2 inch LCD. It only has a 1.2 megapixel capability.
But that camera has been out of production for a long time. No one builds a large simple camera any more.
But there is one camera you might find interesting,
the Sony Mavica CD350.
It is 5.2" x 3.6" x 2.9"
With a 2.5 inch LCD
What makes it really interesting is that it writes the photos to a CD-R or CD-RW.
Take the CD out of the camera and plunk it into your computer.
There is a review of the camera at:
My father has some vision problems but I know he would love a digital camera. I am looking for a 3mp or higher camera that features a larger screen and good-sized buttons and icons. Also, it would be great if the camera is not so compact that a slightly clumsy guy with big hands would have problems using it (or maybe occasionally dropping it!) He's fairly tech savvy, but ease of operation would be a plus as well. Of course, quality and price are important, but I can't find any descriptions that detail the features that I'm concerned about. Please help if you can. Thanks!
