Swivel LCD is only found on the more expensive cameras.
Taking pictures in low light has not improved since you bought your Canon A95.
There are now about 4 cameras that are better in low light than the average. They start at about $350 and go to $500.
Take a look at the new compact super-zoom cameras.
Here is a review comparison of that type of camera:

I need a new digital camera and I don't even know where to begin. I currently own a Canon A95 that I bought 5 years ago when I thought I might want to learn more about photography. Fast forward 5 years and I can count on 1 hand the number of times I took the settings off of auto mode. Now I'm ready for my next camera and I really don't need more than a camera that takes excellent quality photos. That is the main issue for me. I don't even care about video quality since I almost never use the camera for videos.
I use my camera mainly for photographing my children and family both indoors and out. I wouldn't mind something with a decent zoom for those school plays and baseball games. I also like to blow up prints and crop pictures.
I liked my A95 just fine but I was never 100% thrilled with the image quality (which could be my fault). I would also like something smaller and lighter. The feature of the A95 that I absolutely love is the swivel LCD screen. When I turn that screen out I get my kids to look at the camera every time! Are there cameras out there with that feature other than some of the high end canons?
I also really like the ability to use reugular AA batteries in a pinch, but that's not a must.
So, anyone know where I should start? Fantastic image and color quality is the #1 must have, followed by ease of use and portability. Price isn't much of an issue.
