Question

Need a bypass filter cap for Samsung fridge RF28K9070SG

I need a bypass filter cap for fridge RF28K9070SG that is able to be put into the water filter. I have a reverse osmosis system already, so I don't need a filter. Is there a way to bypass it without a cap, and if not, can anyone direct me to a cap that can reach all the way into the water filter? (The hole for the filter is too deep for a normal bypass cap to be put in)

Not an answer but at my house I ran into this on another make. I opted to just let it double filter. What I did do was double or triple the months between changing the fridge's filter since it was getting clean water already.

IF YOU HAVE YOUR RO FILTERING, DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG FRIDGE.

I have exactly the same problem. My RO is 7-stage with DI (De-ionization) that gives me TDS=0. But the samsung filters adds (YES, ADDS) 20 to the TDS and drop the already-low pressure to very very low. Imagine standing their for 3 mins to get a cup of cold water! Only way is to remove the filter and put in a bypass plug (deep long one to reach inside). GE makes bypass for my old GE Profile fridge. Why not Samsung?

Samsung, if you don't make the bypass for your samsung, I suggest you warn people about that.
I am taking the fridge back to Home Depot but I can't make it work with my RO.

Warning: If you have RO, you don't want a samsung fridge because their 1-stage filter sucks and they don't offer a bypass if you want to use your only RO (DI).
