I wrote in a previous thread about my New Nec 20WMGX2 monitor having bad image persistence (out-of-the-box display problem). Well, that is no longer an issue. While the "fourth" RMA Nec sent to me doesn't have image persistence, it does have dead/faulty pixels. I am keeping the monitor, though, but I would not recommend this model, especially with less expensive, and probably better, 20in. monitors on the market. Those that have this model without display problems, consider yourself fortunate!
Just curious if anyone else is having some image persistence with the Nec 20WMGX2 monitor line. Basically, an image remains in the display's background after I minimize or close a window, and this will occur only after 15-30 minutes (not hours or days for typical "burn-in"), and it typically goes away after the same amount of time. Nec tech support were not too helpful, and I ended up doing an RMA, but sadly the new monitor does it as well. I am curious if others experience this, but at least I don't have the bad backlight bleed as some have complained about with this model. I just have to do some extra steps now (screen saver, sleep mode, turn off regularly, etc.) What's odd is that I have owned countless CRT's and LCD's and have never had this problem...oh, well.
