Why is it that Kimmel looks mediocre and is in 4:3 on ABC HD yet Conan looks pretty darn good in 16:9 on NBC HD.

PS, viewing on 720p 50" plasma with DishNetwork Vip622 set to 720p over HDMI.

The reason for the difference is that Kimmel is not taped in HD. Hopefully soon ABC will spring for the bucks and buy HD cameras for Jimmy.

I hate Kimmel with a passion, but I was flipping around and thought... damn, isn't this one of ABC's major players? Guess he's not.

Not all of CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, etc production facilities are set up for HD yet. Because of this you will get upscaled DV video.
I have watch live football on ABC, NBC and CBS, ABCs use of 720p gives a better picture with less blurring during fast motion. John

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
