General discussion

Nazi tech upgraded for modern pleasure use.

Old Zeppelin Hangar now an indoor tropical pool with sandy beaches, palm trees, even a balloon ride over it all too. Lucky ones who live near this during German winters.

EVERY blimp hangar is "Nazi" tech?

I think the Donald has an "airplane" hangar....

Even the "Goodyear blimp hangar"?

Goodyear was Nazi tech before Nazi tech was Nazi?

I wonder if Nazis used someones technology.

I notice the Goodyear blimp has "Red Tires" in lights on the side...Communist?

Pin it on the Commies?

that the old hanger was built by Germans who were, then, under NAZI control. As I understand it, "NAZI" is a political party. Of course none of us were there to get a good feeling about the atmosphere in Germany at the time. I suppose we could say that, since US auto unions seem to vote primarily for Democrats, Chevy's are made by Democrats (UAW) rather than Americans.

as it turns out

the article is wrong. I was looking at the seemingly more modern construction of the hangar and went searching, something Matt should have done for the story. Most of the old Zeppelin hangars were destroyed in and after the war. All part of reducing the military might of Germany to rubble policy. This hangar is more modern.

We should have, long ago, become accustomed

to article titles and/or lead-in sentences not being accurate depictions of the truth. I see one today saying that Mitt Romney called Hillary Clinton "Clueless". He didn't say any such thing. The body of the article does mention Romney as stating she had "cluelessly" pressed some reset button in regards to Russia. I've no idea what he's referring to but citing one event isn't the same as a blanket accusation. Still, our media will twist any remark into any shape that suits their purpose regardless of whether it's truthful or accurate. Almost anything we read now requires further investigation before we repeat it as being like gospel.
