Naval hospital ship "Comfort"

Apr 3, 2020 4:28AM PDT

1000 bed hospital Ship.

Been docked for 5 days, only 20 patients have been transferred from packed hospitals.

Because?

.....Absolutely NO patients with "possibility of Covid" allowed onboard.

THAT should have been understood, and the individuals that were going to be transferred onto the ship SHOULD have been pre-screened and ready and waiting for the hospital ship.

This hospital ship didn't just "show up" on a whim...given that maintenance was given the "bums rush" from the dockyard to get to NY to be greeted by POTUS.

Will they stop everybody from going to ANY hospital on land or ship UNTIL they are Covid FREE?

Same "rules" for those emergency hospitals they are building?

Hospital care/treatment IF you are Covid 19 free?

I was up to three-packs-a-day when I quit.

I did NOT enjoy it past the well-known initial high.
Cigarette burns. Hacking cough. Interference with personal relationships. Increasing costs.
It happens I quit before becoming a Christian. I can recommend a traveling program put on by the American Cancer Society.

From YOUR link

Coronavirus also appears to be much less infectious than flu, based on what is known at this point. Of the 12 cases in America, only two people caught the virus from another person inside the United States, and in both of those cases the person was infected by a spouse with whom they had constant contact.

Only 12 CASES?

I knew there was Covid-19 in the US AND I knew that Donald Trump was in denial....

And here we are...just where I thought we would be.

How do you figure he was in denial
Apr 4, 2020 6:57AM PDT

when he closed all inbound travel from China in January? The one is denial was the Gov of NY by not having supplies on hand then begging for help. He's in his third term and had no insight to protecting his State even after H1N1 in 2009.....which also never involved closing down the whole country and caused many deaths.

Speaking of death numbers.....there are NO stats yet that prove that the virus is actually killing as many as being reported....many are dying because of other pre-existing conditions that have lowered their resistance and immune systems were already compromised.

I'm opening my 'pie hole' over here

RE: NO COVID patient is allowed on the ship because of contamination to not only personnel but the equipment and ship itself.

The whole idea of having that ship was to take ER patients that hospitals couldn't handle because they were overwhelmed with COVID patients.

In YOUR world.......THAT was THEN...

People actually believed that the "ship" would remain an island onto itself and NOT be affected by everything going on around it?

THIS is NOW

2 days ago - Patients onboard the Navy's hospital ship Comfort tested positive for COVID-19 after being transferred Friday from a facility in New York City,

AND

18 hours ago - President Donald Trump agreed to allow the U.S. Navy's 1,000-bed hospital ship Comfort to be used to treat patients with the coronavirus.

RE:Is there anything else you'd like to ****** about with your speculation and guesswork or would you prefer to get your facts in order before opening up your 'pie hole' as you so eloquently say often?

No, I'm good for now, thank you...maybe later on, on this subject OR another subject.

Yeah, I saw that Cuomo
Apr 7, 2020 12:38PM PDT

played Trump....got that ship over there to take non-covid patients then cried 'wolf' publicly and got what he wanted all along...……….

And Cuomo pleaded on live TV
Apr 8, 2020 3:08AM PDT

that he needed 30,000 machines and told Trump to choose which 26,000 would die without them since he only got 4K. Trump sent the ship as well with the understanding that no covid patients would be treated on it....had no way of knowing based on Cuomo's crap that it was a ploy to get attention to NY. What was Trump supposed to do when only 20 non covid needed beds on a 1000 bed ship....take it back and tell Cuomo to pound salt (I would have)? Nope, Trump opened it up to covid patients as well, and now the bedding all had to be rearranged again to 500 bed capacity because most of the rest were bunkbed situations for non-covid patients and could be put in the same room. Not anymore....And what's there now? 40 patients, equally divided between non-and covid types. Real emergency there, Cuomo who is now bragging about fewer cases coming in for the last five days.

THAT's a Democrat.....lie through your teeth, get what you want, then laughingly joke "I guess those shovel ready jobs weren't so shovel ready after all" but NOT return the money (BO) or the ship (Trump) so it can go where it's REALLY needed, like Louisiana, et al.

I feel your pain TONI
Apr 8, 2020 4:38AM PDT

I to am sorry, that there are not enough people with Covid 19 to fill ALL the beds being made available and ALL the machinery AND personnel to keep those potential Covid 19 patients alive and help them to return to good health that failed to show as requested.

Their pay should be docked/withheld UNTIL they "show up for work".

or the ship (Trump) so it can go where it's REALLY needed, like Louisiana, et al.

Now that YOU know(and you will surely tell DJT) that HE WUZ HAD...the ship WILL be leaving the patients "sitting on the dock in the bay/harbor" and heading for Louisiana, et al.

HOIST ANCHOR!!!!!!

LET GO ALL LINES FORWARD!!!!!!!

LET GO ALL LINES AFT!!!

BOO HOO?

Military medical personnel on a military hospital ship with ONLY 20 patients.

They weren't doing anything else (taking care of patients). Might as well stay awake by moving beds around...

You don't think THIS is the FIRST time the military moved something from one place to another and then moved it back, do you?

A laudable goal.
Apr 4, 2020 5:53PM PDT

But I see now (Saturday PM) that the restriction is being eased. It's a calculated risk, as the spokesman said.
It will immediately relieve pressure on hospitals, with or without future harm to the NYC health system (infection/no infection).
I'm not qualified to say it's a good choice. It is a choice and it has been made.

This can go here as well as anywhere.
