If the maker/seller doesn't answer pre-sales questions then imagine after the sale.
That said, RAID is not backup. It fails many angles of backup. It may save you from one of the dozen other issues but it is and never has been backup.

I am consider purchasing a Synology DS1813+ NAS device. It has eight bays and will support up to 48TB (8 x 6TB drives). My question is it possible to configure drives 1-4 in RAID 0 for a 24TB virtual capacity (call this array A), drives 5-8 the same for a second 24TB virtual capacity (call this array B), then configure array A and array B in RAID 1 for automatic mirror backup? Thanks for your help.
