Narriator & Magnifier

Sep 16, 2009 12:03AM PDT

Received my new Dell. Love it so far. Playing around I have the Narriator and Magnifier turned on. Comes on everytime I boot up. Can't figure out how to discontinue these two programs. Help, Dave

Open Accessibility Options/ Ease of Access and turn it off. Also turn off Sticky Keys and all the shortcut keys to open these. Exact directions: You have to go to Accessories/Ease of Access/Ease of
Access Center, then, under Explore all Settings, click Use the Computer
without a Display. There is a checkbox in there to start the Narrator and the magnifier. Uncheck both.

This is the dumb convoluted way you must use to turn it off. It's a little easier in Win 7, but still a pain.
