Gotta' run. My wife's got her shopping clothes on and WU check in hand! Not really. ![]()
I was wondering where these mystery shoppers came from. I could also think a non-mystery shopper could pose as one and con a store manager into some extra favors. Here's a link that offers some info on mystery shopper legitimacy.

I read about a new scam:
New Scam: 'Mystery Shoppers'
There's a new scam making the rounds -- a pretty creative one. And it could cost you thousands of dollars if you don't pay attention.
You've probably heard of mystery shoppers, a legitimate operation that lots of companies use to secretly check up on their customer service.
It's the secretive nature of mystery shoppers that has spawned the new scam, and some experts say it's the best one they've seen.
It starts with a letter telling people they've been selected as a mystery shopper and includes a check for $4,800 to cover the costs. The instructions tell you where to shop and fill out customer service forms. The instructions also tell you to go to Western Union and transfer $2,600 to an account in Canada.
The $4,800 check is counterfeit.
I guess people SHOULD be skeptical when they are given money and immediately told to send their own money somewhere else.
