Read http://computer.howstuffworks.com/question560.htm as well.
About every 10 or 15 minutes my computer decides to do some sort of scan of my floppy drives. It's like it's looking for a disk in the A: drive, but there isn't one there. It is disruptive to other applications and has actually buggered a few print jobs. It slows everything right down to a crawl. I have no idea what is going on.
I have the latest Norton Anti-virus, I have a good Ad/Spyware blocker, so I don't think I'm infected. I have tried disabling everything in the Task Scheduler (PC Health, Clean Sweep, etc) yet it still persists.
Thanks in advance
