General discussion

My ZDNET Site

I have the website websterharvestdays.com. On saturday I tried to log on to that site to update it and it says they have no record of my name or password. I since have sent zdnet or cnet something everyday asking about this, and no-one will get back to me. Maybe someone in the forums has some ideas why this is. Thanks andy

Same problem
Mar 8, 2005 5:17AM PST

I am having the same problem except that its been 2 weeks since I have been able to login. They won't answer emails and I called last week and they said they would fix it. But not fixed. Really frustrated. I can't keep my sites hosted here if I can't access them.

I can log in but can't get to the pages to edit my website

I encountered this same problem a couple of months ago. At that time someone called me the next day and told me she had forwarded the problem to the web techs and the problem was solved that very day. NOW I am experiencing the same frustration of logging in and then getting another page to log in on and then another page to log in on over and over and over. PLEASE I need to update our clubs schedules and have not been able to get in for a couple of weeks now. I have emailed for help several times and have gotten no response. I can not find a phone number to call but have found this forums page where I see several persons are encountering the same problem. So I am leaving a call for help here too!

Lee Koo is good about getting back to people
Apr 6, 2005 2:20PM PDT

Toni you say that Lee Koo is quick to get back to people. He posted a note here on 4/1 but has not gotten back to me with an explanation of the problem. I have not been able to edit my pages since 2/25/05!
I have been in contact with Tom Simpson, who tells me that he can get into my sites editing pages and to email him back after I try to get in.
I still got the same circular login after login so I emailed him back. Now I am back to the waiting for a reply.
Why can't someone just give me a call and tell me what is the matter and what might be a solution. I did try dumping all my cookies and logged in again and still the same problem. Someone out there please help!

Just thinking.

Have you tried this from another machine?

With all that spyware out there I can only recall a poor friend of mine that went through a similar L and it worked fine on my machine.

In the end they had a triple whammy. Spyware, they didn't know how a firewall worked and they had some cookie blockers. They had built a fortress.

Circular Log in to Site Builder unable to edit website
May 2, 2005 9:40AM PDT

I already did the spyware check using pest patrol, I use ZoneAlarm and have for several years with out any problem getting to my website.
I did try using a link from my OUTLOOK 2002 and got in to the editing pages finally! It still took signing in 3 times to get there but was I glad to see the correct pages finally come up.
I still CAN NOT access these pages using internet explorer 6.
I hope that bit of information helps someone figure out this problem.
I do believe that pages.zdnet.com or cnet.com owes me for a couple of months of no access!

I apologize, but I don't have an explanation to the issues.

with Advantage...I'm only a messenger to let you know how to get in contact with support. I do not run the Advantage site or do I have any ideas what the situation is about the issues they are having, except that they are doing their best to get issues resolved with individual accounts.

I'll do my best to let you know what I find out, but your best route is to use the support form, so that their support team can be in contact with you.

Contact Support?
May 2, 2005 9:48AM PDT

I have written many emails, used your contact us form and this forum regarding the problem with getting in to edit my website pages. On March 21st Lee Koo forwarded my email to Tom Simpson. I got an email from Tom Simpson on March 23 asking me to wait 24 hours and then contact him again if I could not get in to my website. I had surgery on March 24 and did not email him back until April 1st. I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY!
