My WiFi is not showing in my device manager

by Rajib De / March 30, 2009 2:00 AM PDT

I have a compaq V6000 for near to 2 years. Now the problem is that the wifi isnt showing in my device manager. I have opened up the laptop and checked the wires connecting to the Wifi device and also taken out the wifi from the slot. But no change... So I sent it to the service center and they said i have to change the motherboard since there is a problem with that part (which I found it little strange) so I would like the expert opnion of others into the matter

My neighbor with the v2000. Same story.

I helped him help by popping in a 20 buck WIFI PC-Card. I'm sure there are those that will pay for the privilege of the internal card but we're cheap.

USB or if you have

Express or PC card slots work just as good as internal cards. I own a USB and a PC card wireless card.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
