Question

My UPS let's off a long beep and shuts down immediately

by Peter_Mahfouz / December 29, 2017 5:02 AM PST

Okay so I've got a UPS (on the back it's written "Mercury" and "Model: Elite800 Pro" and everytime the power goes off my ps4 instantly shuts down after the ups lets out a single long beep.
Moreover, I tried to unplug the UPS cable from the wall myself to see if it does the same thing but instead it just instantly started beeping fast and shut down (could the ps4 be using too much power or something)

Do you think the UPS has a problem and I should get a new one?

Indeed, I think the UPS has a problem. See if it can be repaired. If not, and you need one, you'll need to buy another one, I'm afraid.

Sounds like a failed unit.

I see this mostly at 3 to more years old. The battery on many is just shot and the owner is upset that the battery costs same as a new unit.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
