My turn to brag on my daughter

Apr 16, 2004 12:03PM PDT

She will be 1 year old on May first, can you believe that?

She doesn't talk, just says dada daddy, dadadadada and thbbppttt. She is walking though. We are having her birthday party at this pretty little park near the house. She's a real handful right now, she has no fear and climbs on everything.

And boy, Dad in about 12 years she is going to be so mad you put her bath pic on the internetHappy
Enjoy, they don't stay babies very long.

I can 'dada daddy, dadadadada and thbbppttt' with the best of them. My daughter and I used to vigorously babble at each other. She seemed to enjoy it immensely.

:^O ...you think she is laughing and playing, and what she is really doing is peee...in the tub!

Well, maybe, Rick.

She looks GREAT. Take care of all of the treasures you are given.

when you told us all about her coming into the world! It does go by so fast.

This stage is a busy stage. They are curious about everything - so many things are new to them. All that we take for granted is for them brand new, or at least not what we are used to it being! LOL i.e., grass, pebble, goldfish, hairbrush, feather, etc. - they have no learned ideas of what those are - a hairbrush could very well be something nice to stir the toilet bowl water with!!

Use this time wisely as it will give you the opportunity to see the world through a child's eyes once again.

BTW she's beautiful! I have a bath pic just like that! He's age 17 now - he rolls his eyes when I show it to someone HappyHappy

Picked this up on other thread and glad you reposted it. You and Josh - proud Dads together!

I decided that my son's first words would be either curtains or metamorphosis - but, you've guessed it, it was Dad. Of course, I was a bit slow in realising that I hadn't taught him how to say these (or any other) words, eg c c c, or m m m, or t t t etc thinking that they picked up words from hearing them. In truth, I believe they do, but it doesn't help the kiddie to speak the words. Doh.

Also had the same situation, as noted by Glenda and Marcia, so spent some time only a couple of months ago cutting out tiny pieces of paper shaped like pants and sticking these with Pritt stick glue onto all the controversial photos in the album - endearing at the time, but ...
