I have a Treo 650 with Cingular service (GSM). When I work out of my home office and I'm on my landline phone (Nortel desk phone) and Plantronics vista headset (wired), I get TERRIBLE feedback when my cell phone rings. It actually happens even when the phone doesn't ring - it appears as if it's whenever the GSM phone is sending or receiving a signal from the tower. It is exceptionally annoying, especially for the party on the other side of my land line conversation - it's quite loud.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to reduce the interference? I try putting my cell phone as far away from my land-line when I'm in my home office, but that still doesn't always help. Sometimes the phone rings and there is no feedback at all, sometimes it's unbearable.
Any thoughts are truly appreciated.
